AGHS Girls Golf swings to success

The AGHS Girls Golf Team scored yet another title: Central Section CIF Division 1 Champions. On November 4th, the team competed at San Joaquin Country Club in Fresno and won first place overall.

Gigi Gunasayan (‘25) scored a 73 and was 2nd overall. Cecilia Lewis (‘27) scored a 76 with 8th place overall. Maya London (‘25) scored a 77 and was 9th overall. Brooke Pinkerton (‘28) had a tie-breaking score against the Clovis East Timberwolves.

The team will go on to compete at the SOCAL Championships at Los Serranos Golf Course on November 14.

Adilia Leiva is a senior and in her third year at the Eagle Times. She lives a pretty simple life, except for the fact that she has 5 siblings, and her house is never quiet. Adilia is the second oldest, and is also the family babysitter, except she doesn’t get paid. She is taking a lot of hard classes, and wonders if she’ll even have room for sleep in her schedule. She is excited to once again be part of the Eagle Times and excited to write stories about her school and community.
