The Arroyo Grande High School Theatre Company will perform a student-directed “Evening of One Acts.” This year’s selection of 30-40 minute plays include “The Zoo Story” by Edward Albee, directed by Mila Guiliano, “Lockdown” by Douglas Craven, directed by Jazmine Luis Sarabia, “The New Margo” by Stephen Gregg, directed by London Raftery, and newly written play by local playwright Rosemary Kesselring “Riddles in the Dark,” adapted from The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, and directed by Percy McPherson. Each play was chosen and directed by a student in the professional Theater Class.
“Directing such a unique show with such a small cast has been something I’ve really enjoyed,” Mila Guliano (‘25) said. “I think the show came together really nicely, and I’m really confident with the actors I’ve chosen.”
The show will run for two weekends at the end of January and beginning of February. There will be evening performances at 7 p.m. on January 31 and February 1, 7, and 8. Tickets are $17, with discounts for senior citizens ($14), students/children ($12), and LMUSD faculty and staff ($7).
Tickets are available for purchase now in person at the box office or online at An Evening of One-Acts – The Clark Center for the Performing Arts
