Disneyland, also known as “The Happiest Place on Earth” is filled with joyous opportunities and an escape from reality. This world-famous theme park is celebrated for its magical experiences, seasonal events, fireworks, and beloved Disney characters.
“I believe Disneyland is designed for all ages because everyone deserves happiness,” London Hartford (’27) said.
For many, Disneyland is a dream come true. It’s a place full of beloved characters, enchanting rides, and interactive experiences. Character meet-and-greets and parades enhance the charm, creating a magical place where childhood fantasies come to life.
“When I was six, I met Chip and Dale for the first time,” Robert McLean said (’25) “It felt so real and still brings me happiness thinking about it today.”
Adults also enjoy riding classic attractions such as Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Disneyland’s attention to detail and immersive environments make it a special place for adults who grew up with Disney.
“There is a connection with the music, [and] the environment that just brings such peace,” Desiree Sellstrom said. “Disney is familiar, and I can still have fun.”
Disneyland is designed to be a multi-generational experience. While its primary audience may be children, all ages are welcome. Whether people visit for nostalgia, thrills, or the immersive atmosphere, Disneyland remains a place that invites all guests.
“Disney to me is more than just the rides and the food,” Sellstrom said. “Disney is about the atmosphere, happy childhood memories, and the [exciting] environment brings peace to me.”
Disney parks around the world offer much more than just magical experiences. Adventures like these foster memorable moments and entertainment for almost everyone.
“One of my sweet memories at Disney was when my mom and I were waiting for one of the parades to start, and Mary Poppins came out and picked me out of the crowd and danced with me,” Jonni Sellstrom (’21) said.

Though some go to Disneyland for family-friendly fun, some choose to get a job there. Working with Disney is an opportunity to be a part of a world-renowned company. Employees known as “cast members” are immersed in a collaborative culture where teamwork and customer service are prioritized.
“I started working at Disney when I was 16,” former cast-member Kyle Clark said.“I worked there for years going through school and college. I met my girlfriend there. I was Prince Charming and my girlfriend, at the time, was also one of the princesses. After a few months of dating her, I proposed in front of the castle, and she said yes. That was one of my favorite memories of working with Disney.”
For visitors of all ages, Disneyland continues to be one of the world’s most visited and loved theme parks. A place where family and friends can connect. For many, Disneyland is a place filled with memories created by millions of people from all around the world.
