On Wednesday, May 28th, at 6:00 pm, over a hundred students gathered at the Clark Center of the Performing Arts for the 2025 Senior Celebration. The Celebration honored all the students receiving state-level scholarships as well as the 2025 top ten.
The students, clad in graduation gowns, cords, medals, and more, walked across the stage to receive their certificates.
The certificates listed accomplishments such as the Give Back 250 award—received for doing 250 or more hours of community service—gold tassels—awarded to students with a 4.0 GPA or higher—and pathway completions.

“I enjoy doing community service and I enjoy the company of all the people at the Clark Center,” Olivia McDonald (‘25) said.
Along with singing the national anthem at the event, McDonald received the Give Back 250 award for completing over 250 hours of community service, the majority of which were completed by ushering shows at the Clark Center for the Performing Arts.
“If every show is around four hours, 250 divided by four, I don’t know [the exact number of shows I ushered, but it was]a lot of shows,” McDonald said, “I really enjoy it.”
Before the celebration, students had the opportunity to meet with donors. According to Principal Brad Grumbles, this year AGHS students received the most money in scholarships in the history of AGHS, receiving over $350,000 collectively.
The scholarships seen the most were the Coke Family Athletic Scholarship and the Coke Family General Vocational Scholarship, which combined were received by twenty-six students at the event, and the Ralph and Maguerta Johnson Trust Scholarship, which was received by thirty students at the event.
“I feel very fortunate to receive the Ralph and Marguerita Trust Scholarship, and I know it will help me achieve my goal of going into medicine,” Brooklyn Hause (‘25) said.
Hause received multiple scholarships, won the Give Back 250 Award, and received her Gold Tassel. Hause will be attending Cal Poly SLO next year.
Finally, at the end of the ceremony, the top ten graduating students at AGHS were honored—Jessica Arcangel, Karis

Brokaw, Marissa Fugitt, Scarlet Laurent, Lucas Lehman, Kate Lodge, Symphony Lozano, Molly McLaughlin, Nathan Ng, Benjamin Pedrotti, Scarlett Salter, Ella Snyder—each having a GPA ranging from 4.4 to 4.6 and having taken at least ten advanced placement classes.
“It was a lot of hard work, I had to take a lot of difficult classes,” Pedrotti said.
He thanks teachers Sam Vonderheide and Jason Schmidt for their support.
“My favorite [AP class] has been Mr. Schmidt’s AP Spanish Class. That was a fun one,” Pedrotti said. “One of the toughest ones was probably AP Calculus BC.”
Congratulations to the class of 2025 for all their accomplishments!
