The Grover Beach Community Library will have a book sale on Mar. 9, and working it is a great opportunity to earn community service hours. Not only that, but helping out at the library is a great way to spend your time as you are helping the library staff distribute the work on what will most likely be a busy day because of the book sale.
There are other opportunities to help out this very inviting comfy library run by Carol Roberts and Darlene Kelly, such as Books by the Beach, Senior Book Break, and Story Time with Darlene. The Grover Beach Library will have more book sales on May 11, Aug. 10, and Oct. 12, all with shifts from 8 to 3:30 pm.
