Mountains aren’t the best getaway place for everyone. Some people would much rather go on a weekend vacation to a city.
Southern California
The whole Los Angeles (LA) area is a great place to visit. Some people visit LA daily but there are a lot of places you might not have heard of or just haven’t gotten the chance to visit.
Koreatown, or K-Town, is a beautiful neighborhood near Hollywood that should be one of your places to visit. You can enjoy delicious Korean and American food and there’s also delicious dessert and coffee places.
Other fun activities that you can do while in K-Town are karaoke rooms and shopping in all of the cute shops that the city has around the LA area.
A perfect place to go shopping in LA is The Grove, located near Dodger Stadium.
The Grove has many top brands stores to shop at including Nike, Vans, Apple, and Brandy Melville. There are also many food options like Wetzel’s Pretzels, The Cheesecake Factory, and See’s Candies. Along with these shops, The Grove also has a movie theater in the plaza that plays movies at all times of the day and a train that is available for people to get on and ride around the shopping center.
Northern California
Similar to LA, there are so many unique places in Northern California that many people have never been to.
Chinatown, located in downtown San Francisco is a place worth visiting. There you can learn about Chinese history and try authentic foods that will leave you wanting to come back.
Another place worth visiting is Alcatraz which is located on an island right next to San Francisco. To get to the island, you must book a ferry with Alcatraz Cruises along with a tour from one of the many options.
Overall, cities offer many things to do, like exploring new places or trying new foods, making for an entertaining getaway.
