Father’s Day is on Sunday, June 16th, only a few weeks away, and that means that it’s time to start looking at fun activities and events you can go to with your dad. There are a lot of options for a fun Father’s Day to choose from in SLO County. Below is a compiled list of things to do with your dad on Father’s Day this year.
1. Axe throwing in downtown San Luis Obispo
You can take your whole family to Battle Axe, where everyone can do some satisfying axe throwing, and can take a stroll through downtown San Luis Obispo as well.
2. Sea Pines Golf Resort concerts
Every Saturday Sea Pines Golf Resorts in Morro Bay has outdoor concerts beginning at 2 pm and ending at 6 pm. Your dad will enjoy quality local music and delicious food and beverages.

3. Pismo Beach Car Show
Starting May 30th and going until June 2nd, there are going to be more than 850 vehicles on show in downtown Pismo Beach. The local car show is always fun to drop by and see. There will also be vendors, beer gardens, and a live band. It’s a couple weeks before Father’s Day, but it would be a fun thing to get out and do leading up to it. Why not get a head start?

4. The Jack House in San Luis Obispo
If you want to stay more local, you can take a tour of the Victorian home of Captain Robert Jack’s son, land developer and rancher R.E. Jack, who is a founding father of San Luis Obispo. The tour closest to Father’s Day is on June 9th.

5. Salsa Dancing
If your dad likes to dance, there is salsa dancing hosted by Liliana Graham at the San Luis Obispo Veterans Memorial Building on Wednesday evenings from 8 to 9 p.m. This could be a great way to bond with your father and get exercise while doing it!

6. Brett Young Concert
Brett Young will be playing live at the Avila Beach Golf Resort on Father’s Day starting at 5 p.m. Ticket prices range from $30 to $180.

7. Ragdolls and Midnight Rider Band
The Ragdolls and the Midnight Rider Band will be performing an Allman Brothers celebration starting at 8:30 p.m. at The Siren in Morro Bay. It is a 21 and over venue, so you won’t be able to go with your dad. Tickets are $30.

8. Father’s Day breakfast
For members of the Oceano Elks Lodge, there is a special breakfast served on Father’s Day from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Fathers eat free and guests get a meal ticket for $17 each. Breakfast consists of ham steak, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, and a biscuit.
