American citizens earn an “I Voted” sticker after completing their ballot. San Luis Obispo (SLO) county hopes to display adolescent art work through a sticker competition. The competition features two age groups—grades 3-6 and grades 7-12— and runs from July 3, 2024 through August 21, 2024.
Hand-drawn and digital pieces will both be accepted as long as they follow the guidelines. The contest guidelines mandate the design be circular, incorporate the words “I Voted” or “Future Voter”, be original, and must be impartial. Digital pieces must be submitted as jpeg and have a resolution of 300 dpi, while hand-drawn pieces must be two-dimensional and on white paper. All entries must include an official entry form and must be submitted by 5 pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
Winners will be announced in September and will also be invited to visit the new Elections Center. Winners’ stickers will be printed and distributed to polling sites throughout SLO County.
