The AGHS varsity football team had a successful season, making it to the Division 3 AA state regional final after winning the Central Section Division 2 championship. The season came to an end on Friday, December 5th. The Division 3 AA state regional final was a close game as the Eagles took on 11-3 Ventura High School. Ventura ended up scoring in the 4th quarter to beat the Eagles 35-28, and the Eagles’ season came to an end.

Drew Harrison, Reporter
Drew Harrison is a junior at Arroyo Grande High School. He enjoys watching sports and used to play basketball. Harrison is excited to start writing for the school newspaper and is looking forward to covering sports stories for the school, as well as other events of interest for the student body. He is a proud student of AGHS and excited for the following school year.
Lily Meek, Reporter
Lily Meek is a junior at Arroyo Grande High School. She is graduating early with 3 years at AGHS and plans to attend Cal Poly SLO for her Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science. After graduating from Cal Poly, she hopes to attend U.C. Davis to achieve her DVM degree. In her free time, Meek competes in high school rodeos with her horse Dakota. She is deeply involved in FFA and is the FFA treasurer this school year at AGHS. Meek plans to bring more agriculture coverage to the Eagle Times and raise more awareness to how vital agriculture is to the world’s success.
