The Manifest Market was a wellness event hosted by the San Luis Obispo (SLO) Public Market on Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The goal of the event was to equip community members with the tools they need to succeed in their New Year’s resolutions and encourage them to make healthy choices.
At the event, there were vendors of clothing and skincare, as well as local farmers, all selling skincare, clothes, fruits, and honey meant to help people with fitness and wellness.

“We make decisions on exercise, we make decisions on what we eat, what we drink, when we sleep; there are a lot of choices that we make to try and improve our quality of life,” said Corrective Care Chiropractic CEO and Clinic Director Christopher Tabick, DC.
From local live music played by New Acoustic Collective to an Orangetheory yoga and fitness class, attendees had their choices of entertainment.
There were also food and drink options for the public, such as fruit bowls and sample lemonades at the Neighborhood Acai and Juice Bar. Separate from that establishment, fruit and honey were available for purchase.
At one of the event entrances, there was a therapy dog present to greet people and to represent the Alliance of Therapy Dogs organization.

“[The dogs are] trained to help people and make them feel better. We go to hospitals and airports,” said Debbie Botts volunteer for the Alliance of Therapy dogs
Towards the end of the event, Tabick gave a speech about health and how certain choices that benefit the body can lead to a healthier life.
At the end of the event, vendors packed up their belongings and left, while many attendees stayed in the market to eat and hang out with their friends and family. The Manifest Market supplied community members with options and ideas for leading a healthier and happier life.
