Boys Basketball

AGHS’s boys basketball team finished their regular season 13-15. Their performance landed them the 12th seed in the playoffs, where they won their first round matchup versus Porterville High School (fifth seed) 60-53. In the second round, the Eagles played Hoover High School (fourth seed), where they lost 51-54.

The boys were disappointed about a loss to end the season, but feel that they have a good core for next year, as only three players graduate this year– a drastic difference to last year’s 11.

Boys Soccer

Boys soccer finished their regular season with a record of 6-10-3. The Eagles went into the playoffs as the 15th seed and lost to Liberty High School (second seed) 0-3.

“In regards to our performance in this season: we could’ve played better. I feel like we had a lot of potential at the start, but fell off towards the end of the season,” Atticus Mackaoui (‘26) said.

Mackaoui’s claim perfectly reflects the Eagles’ season as they started their season going 5-1-1 but finished with a record of 6-10-3.

Girls Soccer

Girls soccer finished their season going 11-5-2 placing them in the ninth seed. In the first round, they played Righetti High School (eighth seed), where they lost 1-2.

“I thought that we played really well, but it was definitely disappointing to lose and see everyone really sad,” Willow Vogler (‘27) said. “But I think it was a good season.”
