Arroyo Grande Baseball took the field under the bright stadium lights on May 28th, 2026. The stadium seats were wet from the rain, the spectators braving the small raindrops to watch the Division 2 CIF Championship. Arroyo Grande played against Bakersfield Christian at a neutral site, Valley Strong Ballpark in Visalia, CA. Arroyo Grande High School baseball, unfortunately, lost in the California Interscholastic Federation title game, 4-3 in the 9th inning.

“This team all has something in common, whether that’s from playing together for a long time, this season, or other reasons, we all are here to work hard and succeed, so I’m excited to see what we can do in state,” said Warwick.
After the loss, AGHS baseball was upset, but they are not ready to give up.
“This game was close, and it’s upsetting to walk away with a loss, but we’re not done. We’ve all worked hard this season, and we are ready for state,” said team captain Kurth.
