Social media threat prompts concern

Staff, Staff

Students at Arroyo Grande High School alerted authorities to a threat on social media Monday night.

LMUSD, the FBI, and local authorities investigated the reports and found no credible threat to the safety of the school.

The district released the following statement:

“We wanted to let you know about a concern earlier at Arroyo Grande High School.

Today students at Arroyo Grande High School alerted administrators to potential threats communicated over social media.  In working with local authorities and the FBI, school administration and AGPD were able to determine that there is no credible threat to the safety of the school.

We are so proud of our students for immediately reporting their concerns and while these threats were not credible, we are glad to know that our students take the safety of our school seriously.

We continue to make the safety of our students and staff our top priority.  Thank you for everything you do for our students.”
